Speed Measurement Using Radar
Andrla, Jiří ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The principal goal of this bachelor thesis is to design a program in the Matlab programming language that measures the speed of vehicles scanned by a radar. In this thesis, the program is also implemented in the C++ programming language. The designed software detects moving vehicles in sets of data obtained from a CW radar. For each of these vehicles, their speed is computed with respect to the angle of their motion to the orientation of the measuring device. In the end, overall statistics are generated from the data gained. The thesis solves the problems of correction of the speed measurement based on the measuring angle. This technique should provide better results than other classical methods without the correction. The outcome of this thesis can be interesting for every application or system that uses speed measurement with a radar under different angles.
Speed Measuring of Vehicles Using Radar
Vlkovič, Vladimír ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This masters thesis is focused around the designing and implementation of an anpplication that can extract information on speed of vehicles from radar data. The radar measurements were done by using a continous wave radar. The emphasis is placed on the computation of the angle in which the car approaches the radar and on the speed correction based on this angle. The final design was implemented in Matlab. The evaluation of the implemented solution was done on reference data.
Radar-Based Measurement for Speed Sport Disciplines
Lach, Martin ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on radar speed measurement of sportsmen. The aim is to implement system which determines and visualizes speed of sportsman. The outcome of this work is among other library in C for analysis of radar data. The work deals with explanation of radar. It describes the different types of radars, their functions and characteristics. The following chapter explains the terms important for signal processing. Next are analysis of the problem and description of implementation. At the end of the thesis are tests and evaluation of success.
Speed Measurement Using Radar
Martinů, Lukáš ; Široký, Vít (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on method of object's speed detection using a low-cost continuous wave radar module. In the first section, it describes differences between basic types of radar modules and their fundamental principles. The main part of thesis is dedicated to signal processing of radar modules K-MC1, K-MC4, that contents data to analyze moving objects. Doppler effect is used to determine the object's relative speed. Moreover, there is used FSK technique to measure the distance and there are solved issues associated with cosine factor. To verify the performance and stability, the application is tested on a several appropriate objects. In the end, the implemented application is evaluated and the possible continuation of this work is stated.
Human Detection Using Radar
Skácel, Jan ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This work is focused on the design and implementation of algorithm for human detection in real time using a continuous wave radar. Classification of people is based on doppler signatures produced when they walk. Fourier transform techniques were used to analyze these signatures   and key features were identified that are very representative of the human walking motion.  On the basis of design, the C++ application that process radar signal and detects human is implemented. Last part of this work is focused on algorithm evaluation.
Radar-Based Measurement for Speed Disciplines
Piňos, Michal ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is radar-based measurement for speed disciplines. For this purpose, the Doppler radar with continuous wave was used, K-MC4 to be specific. Standard signal processing techniques were used to extract the speed information from the radar signal. The key method for obtaining Doppler frequency from signal is Fourier transform. Cosine effect is compensated based on the computed angle. The result of this work is a detector capable of measuring speed and direction of measured objects. Implemented solution also allows the detection of certain objects.
Object Classification Using Radar
Přívara, Jan ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement classification system using radar, specifically vehicle classification system. The first part describes both radar principles and radar signal processing methods. A brief introduction to machine learning is provided, with emphasis on Support Vector Machines classification model. Feature extraction methods from radar signal are discussed as well. The next part describes concept and implementation of system for vehicle  classification. In the end, the implemented classification system is evaluated and the possible continuation of this work is stated.
